The School Days of Thaddeus K

A devised piece of theatre by Blue Raincoat inspired by experiences in a national school in the West of Ireland during the 1970s. Told with the use of movement, text and scaled puppetry. A dark gothic view of school days in the Seventies.

Here the ensemble’s physical discipline makes objects such as a huge wardrobe or a hefty leabhar rolla (or roll book) become suddenly weightless, as though physics had met its match against daydreams, under the swooning strings of Joe Hunt’s sound design.
